  1. What attracted you to budgerigars
I always had an interest in birds but my son was the first to start keeping budgies when he was 16, a few years down the line he found other birds (of the female kind) that took his interest therefore I took over from him and the hobby has kept growing since.

2. How long have you kept budgies
1982 I first started.

3.Do you specialise in any budgies
I used to have mainly clearwings now I keep a variety such as
Blues
Yellow face
Pied
Cobalt

4. Any tips for members both new and old
Learn by your mistakes and keep trying, if you lose birds try different varieties.

5. What food  and supplements do you give your birds
50/50 budgie No 1 tonic seed and plain canary
Egg food with soaked oats when breeding dry when not
Also when breeding I offer the birds wholemeal bread soaked in baby milk.

6. When and how many pairs do you breed a year
I like to start the breeding season Oct –Dec and try to have about 25 breeding pairs.

7. What has been your best win to date
I am in partnership now but feel the win that meant the most to me was best beginner any age at Plymouth.

8. Do you have a favourite show of the year and why
I do like Truro in Cornwall as there is always a friendly welcome.

9.Finally about you hobbies or other interests
I like football and support Torquay and Manchester united.
